With your incredible support to date, we have instructed town planning solicitors to review the application and present a considered response to MVDC. As part of this response the more expert reports we can afford, the stronger the objection. Our solicitors feel submitting a single document that includes all the expert reports within the one document would be better than submitting multiple documents referencing expert documents.
We’re, therefore, continuing to raise funds to get a variety of reports to make our submission as robust as possible. We've already raised enough money for a Heritage and Townscape Review but are about £1,000 short of paying for a Hydrology report. We would like to pay for this before the end of the month otherwise we'll be hit with a large tax bill.
If you are able to donate again, we would be extremely grateful. Any contribution - large or small - will help us move closer to securing the expert evidence needed to challenge this scheme fully. There is absolutely no obligation, but your continued support could make a crucial difference at this stage.
In addition to this, the committee has been hard at work, getting articles on the BBC and SurreyLive and in the Spring edition of the CPRE magazine. We’ve also continued to stand with the LRA in the High Street on most Saturdays and have been in Fetcham and at Leatherhead Football Club to raise awareness. We’ve recently designed and printed a new leaflet; we would welcome help with distributing them if you have time.
