The march against the incinerator was an astounding success with well over 600 people taking part! Now we are urging people to write to Kris Hopkins MP - MP for Keighley and Ilkley. At the moment he thinks the incinerator is a benefit for the area, but we are determined to make him see sense. His email address is kris.hopkins.mp@parliament.uk If you do not reside in his constituency then please write to your own MP expressing your concern about the distance the emissions will blow, poisoning people for miles around as well as being a blot on the landscape. You could also draw their attention to the proliferation of incinerators springing up all over the UK and exactly what the long term consequences of this will be. We already have full capacity of incineration in our country and, with more and more recycling being encouraged, very soon we will have over capacity and have to import waste to keep them fed.
