In de herfst stonden studenten en personeel met hun vakbonden op tegen de bezuinigingen op het hoger onderwijs, wat leidde tot het afschaffen van de langstudeerboete! Echter, er blijft een schandalige bezuiniging van 1,1 miljard euro over. Deze bezuinigingen zorgen voor grote problemen: docenten verliezen hun baan, studieprogramma’s verdwijnen en de kwaliteit van het onderwijs zal dalen. Onze docenten pikken het niet en zeggen met hun staking: genoeg is genoeg!

We kunnen deze bizarre bezuinigingen niet laten gebeuren. Een dag zonder onderwijs is nodig om onze solidariteit te tonen met onze docenten. Via deze petitie vragen we de besturen van onze onderwijsinstellingen om solidair te staan met hun personeel en studenten.

Onderwijs is cruciaal voor onze maatschappij. Onze onderwijsinstellingen zijn van groot belang voor onze stad. Deze bezuinigingen zullen studenten, medewerkers en Tilburg zelf schaden, en daarom zullen ook wij als studenten op 10 april staken!

Onderteken de petitie!

1. Om onze steun als studenten te tonen voor de medewerkers die willen staken. Dit is om ervoor te zorgen dat docenten weten dat hun studenten hen steunen in de strijd tegen de bezuinigingen.
2. Om de besturen van onze onderwijsinstellingen te vragen solidariteit te tonen door delen van de campus te sluiten, zodat personeel en studenten niet onnodig belemmerd worden. We vragen alleen delen te sluiten zodat belangrijke evenementen, zoals diploma-uitreikingen door kunnen gaan.

We moedigen iedereen aan je docenten en medestudenten te steunen in de strijd. De bezuinigingen zullen ons allemaal raken. Student of medewerker, op de campus of daarbuiten!

In the fall, students and staff, along with their unions, stood up against budget cuts in higher education, which led to the abolition of the long-study fine! However, a scandalous budget cut of 1.1 billion euros remains. These cuts cause major problems: teachers lose their jobs, study programs disappear, and the quality of our education will decline. Our teachers won't stand for it and are saying with their strike: enough is enough!

We cannot let these bizarre budget cuts happen. We willingly accept a day without education to show our solidarity with our teachers. Through this petition, we ask the boards of our educational institutions to stand in solidarity with their staff and students.

Students stand together with staff!
Education is crucial for our society. Our educational institutions are of great importance to our city. These cuts will harm students, staff, and Tilburg itself, and therefore we as students will also strike on April 10!

1. To show our support as students for the staff who want to strike. This is to ensure that teachers know their students support them in the fight against the budget cuts.
2. To ask the boards of our educational institutions to show solidarity by closing parts of the campus, so that staff and students are not unnecessarily hindered. We only ask for parts of the campus to be closed so that important events, such as graduation ceremonies, can continue.

We encourage everyone to support your teachers and fellow students in the struggle. The cuts will affect us all. Student or staff member, on campus or beyond!
