Our petition backing One Unitary Council for Gloucestershire has reached 2000 signatures!
… Now we are taking the petition to the County Council leaders!
Dear Supporters of a unified future for Gloucestershire,
Fantastic News! We have reached the 2000 signature mark and the petition will be submitted to Gloucestershire County Council leaders on Wednesday 10th of September in the County Council chamber for full council.
This is just the start…
The petition will be submitted but it’s not over, the County and District Councils will start to assess the options and will vote on their preferences before submitting to the Government for a final decision on our county.
Westminster ministers and civil servants will make the final decision about our future not local people so our petition will be making its way to Westminster! That’s why we need you help again! If everyone who’s signed this petition can share online again or speak to a friend or family member about the break up of Gloucestershire and ask them to sign we can reach many more hundred and even thousands of signature! ✍🏻 please help!
The cost of breaking up our county, the impact on services for a complicated break up of the Gloucestershire County Council services is looking more and more complicated and costly.
Gloucestershire deserves better than this!
Have a great weekend! Thanks for your support and let’s keep going until we have a voice they can’t ignore!
Richard
