Hello and thank you!

Since the launch of our petition to stop the break up of Gloucestershire we have received a huge amount of support. 

Over One thousand nine hundred people have backed the petition to keep us together and stop the East/West split or plans for a  Gloucester donut to swallow up the surrounding villages.

As a reminder, this is about

• Protecting our county services from an expensive and damaging break up.
• Ensuring Gloucestershire has the strongest possible voice in the wider region and nationally
•  Ensuring every part of our county matters including our rural areas.

The petition will be presented to our County Councillors in September, and whilst they do not make the final decision (that’s a decision for Government) the county council will soon need to vote on which option the County Council is backing. With so many of the County MPs against One Gloucestershire, it is therefore crucial that Gloucestershire County Council do what is best for residents and local businesses by backing the One Gloucestershire option. 

Our petition is a really important way for Gloucestershires voice to be heard and with your help and a big push we could get over 2000 signatures before the petition is submitted.
