Our books are currently under attack. The Granbury school district is trying to remove harmless books from our libraries, going off of the Krause List. 41% of the books are NONFICTION, and the other 58% are fiction. Our district is quite literally trying to erase history. 59.95% of these books are being removed because of LGBTQ+, 8% are being removed for racism and race, 13.55% are being removed for sex education (something that is not often taught in Texas schools), and 14% being listed as miscellaneous. Just for reference, 11% of these books are adult, 71% are YOUNG ADULT, and 17% are CHILDRENS BOOKS (picture books). Do not let them rip away our books.
