The Whangarei district council are installing bollards across Tamaterau beach.

The pouring of concrete in straight lines and the bollards themselves, we feel will detract from the natural beauty and openess of this lovely spot

Locals and all visitors to this beach will be prevented from being able to launch their watercraft like boats to go fishing and diving, sailing boats and jetskis etc.

There appears to have been inadequate consultation or discussion with local residents or the general public on this. If this can happen in Tamaterau where else will this happen.
