Thank you, our amazing community, for standing strong against the Black Cherry Wind Project! In just seven days, our petition has reached 850 signatures, and we’re only getting started. Your support is sending a powerful message to protect McKean County’s environment, health, and way of life.

We’re diving deep into research to uncover the truth about this project, and we’re sharing our findings on our Facebook group, which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/share/g/16PNZrZG6P/ - for example, we’ve been investigating the question: "So, Who Really Owns Swift Current Energy?" It turns out, Swift Current Energy, the developer behind the Black Cherry Wind Project, is majority-owned by BAES Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Buckeye Partners, which is fully owned by IFM Investors—an Australian company. Minority stakes are held by IFM Net Zero Infrastructure Fund and Lookout Ridge Energy Partners (the management team). This complex structure raises questions about who’s really calling the shots and how our local interests are being prioritized.  In summary, the majority ownership is foreign entities, and through their structures - they are able to maximize their federal deductions and incentives at the expense of the American Taxpayer.
