Thank you for signing this petition and for standing up for our iconic brumbies.

Like many people across the Snowy Mountains and the nation, I strongly oppose the aerial culling of brumbies. It's inhumane, and it's just not necessary.

My family has farmed at Nimmitabel for six generations and I grew up riding in these mountains.

I know this country and I know the people who have lived and worked here. The Snowies aren't just a national park, they're a living part of Australia's history, and brumbies are part of that story.

For decades, local horsemen managed brumby numbers with practical knowledge, respect for the land and common sense. But too often, decisions are now being made by bureaucrats a long way from the communities most affected by them.

The people who know this country best should have a seat at the table. No one understands this landscape better than the locals who have cared for it for generations.

I'll continue fighting for a better approach. One that protects our brumbies, respects our heritage and puts local knowledge back at the centre of decision-making.
