Stop the ATTACK on Right&Freedom to Buy Property! Neighbours Threatening Sale 3000 Park Ln

Stop the ATTACK on Right&Freedom to Buy Property! Neighbours Threatening Sale 3000 Park Ln
The Issue
As residents of West Vancouver, we believe in the fundamental right to purchase land and build homes without fear of intimidation, slander, or threats. The sale of 3000 Park Lane is now at risk of being obstructed by baseless claims and bullying tactics, setting a dangerous precedent that could harm our community's unity and growth. The truth is clear: the pathway and waterfront beach access primarily sit on 3000 Park Lane, with additional public beach access points just meters away on either side, as well as on 27th and 28th streets. The remaining portion of the property is largely undeveloped land, including dirt and old cedars, and was included to compensate for the loss of the 5% Floor Space Ratio (FSR).
The Ambleside Waterfront Concept Plan, designed to revitalize our waterfront area, will benefit immensely from this sale, which is the real story and dream of Council for the last 40 years.
Presently, a family wishing to secure a future at 3000 Park Lane is being subject to slander and fabricated claims from a few neighbors. Their story has been warped to such an extent that they are at threat of being forced out of their own purchase of this extra square footage which is NOT beach access at all.
Supporting the sale of 3000 Park Lane is not just about one family’s right to build a home; it’s about finalizing the Ambleside Waterfront Concept Plan—a vision that will benefit all West Vancouver families for generations to come, not just a few neighboring individuals. The Ambleside Waterfront Concept Plan, designed to revitalize our waterfront, has been a goal of the Council for 40 years. This sale is a crucial step in making that vision a reality to Finally Move Forward with the Ambleside Waterfront Community Plan for all Families to Enjoy.
Currently, a family wishing to secure a future at 3000 Park Lane is facing slander and fabricated claims from a few neighbors. Their dream of homeownership is being threatened, and if this can happen to them, it could happen to any of us.
This isn’t just an attack on their rights; it’s an assault on the right of every West Vancouver resident to buy property and build a home without interference. We must come together to protect our community’s future. We must champion the right to property ownership, creating homes and neighborhoods that foster community spirit and growth.
Stand with the family at 3000 Park Lane and stand for the future of West Vancouver. Sign this petition to support the sale of 3000 Park Lane and to endorse the Ambleside Waterfront Concept Plan.
Don’t let fear-mongering, bullying, and false stories in the press derail our community’s progress. Together, we can uphold the rights of all buyers and ensure that West Vancouver remains a place where dreams of homeownership are respected and realized.
