The health care rights of almost everyone in Hawaii with health insurance are under attack.  If you have employer-paid or Medicaid health insurance through Kaiser, HMSA, HMAA, Aloha Care, Evercare or Ohana, then if you get cancer or some other serious disease and your insurance company denies coverage, you have the right to appeal that decision with an independent local hearing, with expert witnesses and attorneys on your side. If S.B. 1274 is passed on March 10, you will lose that right.
