STOP the anti-homeless harassment campaign by the City of Aberdeen, WA
The Issue
We must come together to tell the City of Aberdeen, WA to STOP their anti-homeless harassment campaign. The newest chapter in this story includes a draft for a potential ordinance being considered. This ordinance is directly written to shut down the free food distributions that have been underway for years conducted by volunteers operating under the moniker Chehalis River Mutual Aid Network. None of the so-called facts in this ordinance have been demonstrated or proven by any data brought forth by the City.
Our volunteers routinely offers sanitation and hygiene supplies at our meals, as well as regularly picking up trash from our meals. This is direct harassment of all people trying to help the unhoused get a bite to eat in their bellies. It is abhorrent and cannot be allowed to stand. Please join us in telling the City of Aberdeen to STOP this harassment campaign and VOTE NO on this ordinance!
