The issue

The Most Reverend, Anglican Archbishop of Perth, Kay Goldsworthy we urge you to abandon YOUR Church's proposed North Stoneville plan with Australia's BIGGEST private land developer, Satterley Property Group. Across 34 years, Community opposition to your proposed townsite has remained unwavering, and now includes DFES, WA's Planning Commission, Shire of Mundaring, City of Swan, and many State and Federal politicians. Your plan creates severe bushfire risks to thousands of people, and involves bulldozing 60,000 healthy Jarrah and Marri trees - habitat for Endangered Black Cockatoos - iconic symbols of our internationally-recognised biodiverse Hills. The scale of destruction contravenes your Anglican Church's 5th 'Mark of Mission': To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the Earth. Archbishop, please honour your Church's Mission with a courageous, worthy and histroric commitment to SAFEGUARD PEOPLE and PROTECT BLACK COCKATOOS, by ENDING THE NORTH STONEVILLE DISASTER PLAN.
