This is having a significant impact on our family, particularly our autistic child, who has heightened sensory sensitivities. The unpredictable blasts can trigger sensory overload, anxiety, heightened stress and difficulty regulating emotions and behaviour. Because the noise occurs so frequently for such an extended period, there is little opportunity for him to recover or feel settled in his own home.

I understand the cannons may serve an agricultural purpose, but the frequency and duration of the noise are extremely disruptive. I respectfully request that this situation be investigated, including the frequency, operating hours and noise levels, and that reasonable measures be considered to reduce the impact on nearby residents and children with sensory disabilities.
