Have you ever looked out from your window and felt at ease, knowing your neighborhood is your safe haven? That's how many of us in Ocoee, FL, feel about our streets and homes. Sadly, V3 Capital wants to transform this serene view into a bustling commercial site by building a 7-11 and a car wash right across from the fire station on our residential street. This is not just any street; it is already beleaguered by heavy traffic, making it both noisy and hazardous for local residents.

The current plan proposed:

The proposed location for this development is at an intersection that is notorious for congestion. On a typical day, navigating this area can be a challenge. The thought of adding more traffic without adequate safety measures is profoundly troubling. This project will not only increase traffic but also potentially bring more noise and even crime into what is currently a noisy area.

  • 2 fatal car accidents on this road section with dozens more reported.
  • Firestation entry and exit point
  • School bus stop location
  • 150 yards from downhill Admims + Clarke Rd intersection where 85 new homes will be developed

We are not against development; we understand the value it brings. However, such changes must be carefully considered, especially when the safety and quality of life for Ocoee residents are at stake. The addition of a convenience store and car wash on this particular intersection is simply not viable. The impact on traffic congestion and safety is severe, putting local families and commuters at unnecessary risk.

Let's keep Ocoee safe and livable for families like ours.

“Thank you for facilitating this communication platform on behalf of the residence of District 4. As an elected official, it is my responsibility to make sure that we promote transparency and open communication s with our constituents. After listening to the voices and concerns of the residents living Near the proposed project, I tend to agree with the idea of proposing projects that make sense and meet the needs of the residence. In this case a gas station does not seem to meet the needs of the residence nor the esthetics of the neighborhood. That being said, it is my opinion that the developer should seek to propose a project that would meet the needs of the residence. Kindest regards, George Oliver, III Commissioner, District 4”
