At Anderson C.V.I high school, the "20/20" rule is introduced during your first week at school. The "20/20" rule states that a student is not allowed to use the washroom during the first and last 20 minutes of class. This is a sexist and dangerous rule that is still used today. Problems with this rule include girls getting their periods and not being able to properly attend to them, whether this results in bleeding through clothes or feeling uncomfortable. You might be thinking "just say your on your period", it's not that easy. As young girls, this subject is still considered embarrassing and not every girl has the guts to speak up about it. "I need to use the washroom" should be enough. Not only does this rule harm young girls hygiene, it also leads to future pelvic floor damage in both men and women these issues stem from "holding it in" and  can cause extreme problems in the future.
