Stop TfL's Plan to Gridlock Shepherd’s Bush Roundabout

The Issue

TfL are proposing a third cycle lane on Shepherd’s Bush Roundabout which already has 2 well-used, historically safe cycle routes. This means removing 3 traffic lanes, creating congestion and pushing traffic into local streets. Less than 12% of residents and 30% of cyclists support it but TfL are pushing ahead. BUT TfL can only go ahead if LBH&F Council approves this scheme.

Residents have developed a better alternative – upgrading the existing cycling infrastructure around the roundabout periphery which is already popular and would not create traffic chaos.

Send Hammersmith & Fulham Council a clear message to reject TfL’s proposal and consider the residents’ alternative proposal by signing our petition today.

The Residents'  proposal is better for cyclists as it's more flexible with fewer traffic lights, is on a route that is already popular and historically safe, and enables cyclists to avoid traffic. It also won’t create increase congestion for other road users, and will be less disruptive and costly to build.

The Residents'  proposal

TfL’s proposal is worse for cyclists, as it’s less flexible, contains more traffic lights and pushes cyclists into traffic. It will also create increased congestion for other road users, and be more costly and disruptive to build.
