When Paul was 16, he left for soccer camp and never came back.  His friend was speeding 75 miles per hour—20 over the limit. He crossed two lanes of highway to make an exit and lost control. The car flipped off the exit ramp and rolled three times before landing in a ditch. Paul died at the scene. His friend walked away unharmed.

That was 1992. Nothing about Paul’s death was an accident. His death was one-hundred percent preventable. Michigan still hasn't acted. We need to pass laws to make Michigan roads safer. Repeat high-speed offenders—“Super Speeders”—are responsible for a disproportionate share of severe and fatal crashes.
