Hi Everyone,Thank you so much to the 74+ community members who have already signed and shared our petition to Stop SunWest Acquisition and their developers from building near our neighborhood.We have a quick but important update regarding the local government schedule. The proposed Sunwest Harbortowne acquisition/development item is NOT listed on the upcoming Pasco County Board of County Commissioners meeting or Planning Commission agendas for Thursday, July 9, 2026. 🔍 What This Means for Us While it is not on this week's schedule, this simply means the item is still pending review and will be scheduled for a future public hearing. No building permits can be approved until this goes before the county, which gives our community more time to organize, build momentum, and gather signatures. 🛑 Why We Can't Slow DownThe threats to our neighborhood remain the same. If approved, this massive coastal development project could mean:Increased traffic congestion on our local roads.Severe noise pollution disrupting our peace.Massive strain on our public infrastructure and residential water wells.Irreversible damage to local wildlife and our coastal ecosystems.
