The dairy industry contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, with cows alone responsible for nearly 9.5% of all global methane emissions (FAO). By charging extra for vegan milks, Starbucks is indirectly promoting an industry that harms our environment.

Moreover, plant-based diets have been proven to be healthier in many ways. According to the American Heart Association, they can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease.

By penalizing customers who choose these options with additional costs, Starbucks is discouraging people from making choices that are better for them and our planet. It's time we hold them accountable.
