To whom it may concern, (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

I have created this petition to prevent the discriminatory actions being taken against spiritualists and certain religious creators sharing their content online through the aforementioned platforms by the recently publicized article "Removing Certain Ad Targeting Options and Expanding Our Ad Controls" update given by META For Business (affiliated with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok). During my experience as a spiritual content creator, I have witnessed and personally experienced discrimination, shadow banning, stealth banning, or ghost banning of spiritual/religious content creators, such as astrologers, tarot readers, palm readers, reiki healers, spiritual channelers and many more online. We are not only attacked through the algorithm of discovery where our content is hidden, but we are also socially and politically attacked for our protected personal spiritual views and beliefs. Those who support and/or utilize any of the above practices are now at risk of being made into social pariahs, which could begin a dangerous trend within our society. 

The 1st Amendment states the following: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

While this complaint does not state that our rights to create content have been taken away, it does show that spiritual content creators are not being allowed to express themselves freely without fear of being hidden or run out of business by these censorship changes. In addition, through the occurrences within history, these censorship laws will ultimately lead to stricter rules and regulations on said spiritualist creators, ultimately preventing their ability to utilize their First Amendment Laws. The above-mentioned platforms allow the promotion of nudity and sex through music and other avenues, they allow the portrayal of violence through video games, pranks, fight videos, and more, and they even allow creators who are known child and/or adult predators to continue creating content. However, choosing to silence spiritualists who believe in uplifting individuals with knowledge of their religion. That is NOT fair treatment of the human beings on these platforms who use their practice as a form of helping to elevate their fellow human to a better/happier place in life or as a form of income. This is a slippery slope to the social and/or physical victimization and violation of said individuals who only hope to build a brighter future for their fellow human counterparts. All individuals creating content should be treated with the same respect, required to adhere to the same guidelines, and held accountable in the same manner despite financial, governmental, or public backing.
