Michael Jackson, a widely recognized public figure, has had numerous allegations of child sexual abuse leveled against him over the years. I was disturbed, and I felt others were, that The Vue chose  to screen a trailer about a disgraced paedophile at a PG screening of ‘Wicked’which I attended with my 8 year old daughter in Plymouth. 

Michael Jackson was a notorious paedophile and the Vue has no place screening his latest piece of child rape washing at the screenings of children’s films  

Vue cinemas, as a responsible entity catering to audiences of all ages, should reconsider its choice to air promotional content related to Jackson. The decision to include a trailer of this nature during a PG-rated film screening  of ‘Wicked’ perplexes many parents who trust Vue with providing appropriate content for their children. Our aim is to maintain children's innocence and uphold family values during such communal movie experiences.

By removing trailers linked to Michael Jackson from PG, 12 and 12A screenings, Vue will demonstrate its commitment to upholding a safe and respectful environment for families.
