Humza Yousaf recently stated that he plans to implement the same restrictions for XL bully type dogs in Scotland as the ban for the dogs recently came into force in England and Wales at the beginning of the year. I believe this is cruel and should be stopped as many innocent and peaceful dogs were taken up to Scotland at the beginning of January for them to be safe from the bans and could live freely and happily up here in Scotland. I personally believe it is unwise for First Minister Yousaf to follow in the steps of Westminster as the ban in England and Wales has only caused the abandonment and cruel murder of innocent dogs. I hope anyone who has read this far signs this petition for the safety of all dogs as I believe this ban will only create more issues such as irresponsible owners finding new breeds to train into violent dogs, and will create a cycle of bans and violence onto all types of dogs in our country. the only right course of action is to demand this ban to stop and to challenge the ways irresponsible dog owners are able to adopt, buy, sell and breed so easily.
