Scott Morrison does not deserve to be awarded Australia’s highest award. Let’s begin by quoting Shelley Reys AO, Chair of the Council of the Order of Australia (they choose the recipients),  

"But the decision on who the Council considers for an Order of Australia honour belongs to all of us.” *SMH 23/01/23

Let’s not forget Robodebt, Sports and other rorts, the secret ministries, he didn’t hold a hose, climate denial, millions given out to corporate COVID relief with no means of clawing back unused funds and whilst at the same time giving zero dollars to Australia’s universities, Angus Taylor’s Watergate, the Leppington Triangle, no action on an anti-corruption commission, etc,etc.

After being chased out of office “Morrison almost immediately took multiple jobs at AUKUS-linked DYNE Maritime and corporate advisory firm American Global Strategies, sidestepping the 18-month post-ministerial lobbying ban by saying he was simply giving “strategic advice”.*Crikey 06/06/25

Australia made its decision on Scott Morrison when the out-of-touch, chaotic and arrogant government of one of Australia’s worst PMs was wiped out in 2022. 

What planet do the members of this council live on that they could think that someone SO divisive, SO unpopular and SO loathed is a worthy recipient for the Order of Australia?

We the people of Australia, have already passed our judgment on Scott Morrison’s rule and it’s an insult to see his ineptitude and failure ignored, leading to the debasement of Australia’s highest award. We call on the Council, the Governor General and the current government to rescind Scott Morrison’s Order of Australia.
