The Issue

I am a proud Georgian, and I feel immense pain every day witnessing the injustices raining down on my people. Russian citizens come to our country, Georgia, and rather than respecting our culture, traditions, and religion, they soil it with disdain and arrogance. We are called pigs and low-lives on our own streets, those streets that echo the rich heritage and history of the Georgian people.

What truly shatters the heart is not just the insults hurled at us, but the lack of consequence for these actions. When we stand up to defend our dignity, I'm appalled to see my fellow Georgian men and women, who are brave enough to stand for their rights, end up facing punishment while the offenders walk freely.

How is it fair that we bear the consequences while those undermining our sovereignty bask in impunity? To amplify our anguish, the Russians have the audacity to demand we speak Russian and they continue to encroach on Georgian lands and properties by purchasing them. This pitch-black injustice suffocates the future of our children and our nation's right to be prosperous and free.

I propose an actionable solution to counteract these insults and injustices: Imposing a tax on Russian citizens residing in Georgia. This would address the imbalance and bring consequences to actions that are otherwise swept under the rug. Additionally, we must enforce and prioritize the use of the English language, the international means of communication, for all formal matters, ensuring our stance is known and respected.

It's time to stand united for justice and cultural sanctity in our great nation of Georgia. Let’s not allow our land to be disrespected and let’s prevent our identity from being eroded by those who fail to honor it. It's time for our laws to safeguard Georgians’ dignity over those who threaten it. Sign this petition to demand an end to this injustice and to cultivate a Georgia that thrives on cultural respect and equality. We need your support to make this change a reality.
