TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO TAKE ACTION FOR NC BEARS!
The deadline to submit your letter of objection to the Rules Review Commission (RRC) is this Thursday, April 14, 2022.
The RRC has the power to approve or disapprove the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission's newly adopted rule that allows bear hunting and hunting with dogs in the Pisgah, Panthertown-Bonas Defeat, and Standing Indian Bear Sanctuaries and changes the term "designated bear sanctuaries to "designated bear management areas."
We took the time to format an objection letter in line with the RRC's statutory rules to make the process easier. Keep in mind that the RRC does not care about the rule's effectiveness, science, or our heartfelt thoughts about the rule. Their decision is based on compliance with the statutory rules.
Please don't delay. Visit our petition or online event page for more information and a detailed guide to submitting your objection letter.
Thank you for taking action!
