BAD NEWS FOR NC BEARS, RECREATIONISTS, DOGS, & OTHERS!!!

It is with a broken but not defeated heart that we let you know the NCWRC has approved proposal G13-Bears and a regulation that changes the term "designated bear sanctuary" to "designated bear management area."

All hope is not lost. The fight is not over.
Once the NCWRC adopts a rule, it is filed with the Office of Administrative Hearings and then handed to Rules Review Commission, which approves or disapproves the rules. The RRC must now approve proposal G13-Bears. We will be sharing calls to action regarding this process, so please check back for the following steps to stop this unjust, barbaric, and utterly unnecessary proposal.

Contact Governor Roy Cooper and tell him that the NCWRC has blatantly disregarded the majority of their stakeholders and ask that he VETO the NCWRC's rule that allows hunting in the Pisgah, Panthertown-Bonas Defeat, and Standing Indian Bear Sanctuaries and the regulation that changes the term "designated bear sanctuary" to "designated bear management area.".
