I am a very big fan of mobile gaming. One of my favorite games is Roblox. However, Roblox is making the stupid decision of banning chat and messaging features for under 13 players. This is not only dumb, but also will lead to the platform's satisfying downfall and decrease in popularity. First of all, many underage players have been playing Roblox for years and have met other young players while doing so. Removing chat features makes it so these friends that have known each other for years to lose contact completely. This, of course, if they don't have Discord or another chatting app which will easily allow them to keep communicating. So not only will this ruin many long lasting friendships, but it can also be very easily replaced with a texting app alternative. Besides, what's the point of this? According to Roblox, to "protect younger players from seeing inappropriate content on the chat" it's literally all already censored? The tags in Roblox censor pretty much any inappropriate words already. I'd know because I've seen it. Sometimes I've even seen stuff that isn't even offensive; censored! So this removal is pointless, will hurt young is players, can be easily bypassed, and many people will likely ditch Roblox after this, all because they want to make underage accounts guest accounts! You might ask "If you aren't underage, why are you panicking" I know I'm not. But when I made my account, I put some stupid age for fun, not knowing this nonsense would occur. And now look! Roblox thinks I'm like 5 years old! This will unfairly block me from using chat, because I am old enough to use it but can't because i'm "too young"! People think Roblox Support will help but it does not. They just say "There is no proof you are under 13" when I literally said that I was over 13 and had proof! "Just tell your parents to change it" I can't! They ars strict! This sucks because no kids or underage accounts are gonna wanna play after they had so many memories and friends stripped away from them! This will very surely result in the downfall of Roblox, since most people playing are freaking CHILDREN! The game was literally MADE for children! It has always been like that! We shouldn't have grown adults being the main demographic, it was always KIDS! Besides, a lot of popular games literally rely on the chat feature and are perfectly ok for kids! An example is "Blox Fruits" a game which needs chat to ask people if they want to trade fruits! So many other games also work like this and this is pretty much boycotting those games! And also, you know kids are smart nowadays, right? They can literally just make another email, make another account, and set their age higher than 13 and easily chat again. This is useless, and will just make these kids either 1, quit Roblox entirely because all their memories and fun times with friends are over because they arent allowed to text with their Roblox friends by their parents, 2, if you ARE allowed or keep it secret from your parents, just make a Discord server or something of that fashion to talk through there instead, or 3, make a new account and simply just start from scratch, even if their progress is lost! This is a pointless and sad update that completely defeats what Roblox was made for to begin with, and must be completely scrapped. Keep the chat, please. Continue making kids happy instead of making their accounts guest accounts all over again and giving 16+ users a DATING FEATURE! THAT'S RIGHT, FREAKING DATING! This isn't an adult game, Roblox! Don't do this, please keep the chat!
