Hello Fellow Residents, Ratepayers and Community Members
This is from an article written for the ABC by Aston Brown
"In short:
Liverpool City Council (LCC) and critics say a major road upgrade plan in Western Sydney is flawed and contradicts the government's transport and housing objectives.
Transport for NSW says construction on Fifteenth Avenue in Liverpool will commence this year, and that the works are designed to ease congestion.
What's next?
LCC has put forward an alternative proposal that it claims is cheaper, avoids the demolition of homes and better serves the community, but Transport for NSW said the design is not viable."

This is the first part of the ARTICLE
"Liverpool City Council (LCC) is urging the NSW government to rethink a $1.4 billion road upgrade in Western Sydney, arguing the design is "flawed and short-sighted" and would lead to the destruction of about 90 homes."
QUESTION : WHO PERMITTED HOUSES TO BE BUILT IN THE FIFTEENTH AVE TRANSPORT CORRIDOR??
The project has also drawn criticism from some infrastructure experts, who say it is inconsistent with the government's transport and housing objectives.
The government plans to widen Liverpool's heavily congested Fifteenth Avenue to improve traffic flow and support rapid housing growth. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
YES AND YES
The project is the first stage of a long-term vision of a future transport corridor linking Liverpool with Western Sydney International Airport and Bradfield.
But Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun has rejected the state government's plans and put forward an alternate proposal that he claims will better serve the community at a lower cost.
QUESTION: AFTER YEARS OF BROKEN PROMISES CAN YOU TRUST WHAT THE MAYOR OF LIVERPOOL SAYS ??
"We have a solution that saves money, protects homes, and delivers better infrastructure," the Liberal mayor said.
CAN YOU REALLY TRUST ANYTHING THAT THE MAYOR OF LIVERPOOL SAYS?
