Good Morning Fellow Residents, Road Users and Petition Supporters
Further to my last update the news is that there is no further news at this time, I have not received a reply to my emails to the Transport manager from Liverpool Council and nothing further from RMS either.
In addition to this with the resignation of Andrew Constance as NSW Transport Minister I will now have to approach and deal with both a New Minister for Transport and a New Shadow Minister for Transport.
It’s going back to square one at a Ministerial level and getting them up to speed.
The only bit of good news is that Chris Minns who was the former shadow Transport Minister is now the shadow opposition leader and he was out for a media conference recently to highlight to issue and speak about the lack of funding from the State Government for the widening of Fifteenth Ave.
I will be sending an email to both Rob Stokes who is the new Transport Minister and also to Jo Haylen Shadow Minister for Transport.
Also with the Local Council elections due to be held on the 4th December 2021 I will be busy campaigning over the next month in the lead up to the elections.
Thank You for your support so far and we will progress this issue further now that the Covid lockdowns are behind us and that Parliament has resumed after being closed for months.
IF elected to Liverpool Council this is certainly an issue that I will continue to campaign on for our community.
There will be further opportunities for Community involvement with online Parliamentary Petitions, email and media campaigns coming.
You can be assured that I will keep you informed of any information that comes to hand.
Yours Sincerely
Michael Andjelkovic JP
