Roblox has been a creative outlet for millions of users worldwide, allowing us to craft unique experiences and express ourselves through various forms, including the creation of custom 2D clothing. Yet, Roblox is now attempting to stifle this creativity by requiring developers to be Premium 1000 or 2000 members in order to maintain or publish 2D clothing. This change seems driven by a hunger for profit rather than a genuine attempt to foster creativity and community engagement.

For those of us who have dedicated countless hours of creativity and hard work to design stunning 2D clothing, this new mandate feels like a betrayal. Not everyone can afford the Premium 1000 or 2000 subscriptions, which are priced significantly higher than the standard membership. This creates an unfair barrier for aspiring designers, many of whom are young users without access to the necessary funds.

By imposing such restrictions, Roblox is effectively pushing out a vibrant community of 2D creators, leaving us to feel disenfranchised and devalued. Not to mention, this decision comes despite numerous instances where the platform has controversially failed to protect its community, raising questions about their priorities.

This move will inevitably restrict creativity, discourage new talent from emerging in the community, and tip the balance in favor of those who can afford to pay, undermining the very principle of inclusive creativity Roblox once stood for.

We urge Roblox to reconsider this new policy. Let’s return to an open and fair system where talent, rather than wealth, determines one's capacity to contribute to the Roblox community.
