Everyone deserves the right to rest.  That is why park benches are installed in public places.  However, recently the park benches in downtown Duluth have started to be removed.  We have reason to believe that this is, at least in part, an effort to prevent people experiencing homelessness from gathering downtown.  Public spaces are for everyone.  You shouldn't need to be dressed in business attire to sit down on a park bench.  We call on Duluth to stop these kind of anti-homeless measures, and for the return of the dismantled benches.
