My group of friends and countless others have been coming to the Fountain Valley LA Fitness gym for many years. Over the years, I've watched friendships blossom on the basketball court here—friendships that are meaningful not just to me, but to countless others who frequent this gym.

The basketball court at the Irvine location was recently removed to make way for a group training room, and now there are alarming rumors suggesting that the same is set to happen to the beloved courts in Fountain Valley. It's a decision that could have a major impact on our community.

These basketball courts aren't just made of flooring and hoops—they are social spaces that bring people together. They are regularly packed, with members gathering not just for exercise but for camaraderie and the joy of the game. Whether it's about staying fit, relieving stress, or connecting with friends, these courts serve a vital community function.

We strongly believe that repurposing this space for a group training room would not meet the same needs or carry the same impact. Alternatives exist that could incorporate new facilities without sacrificing these treasured courts.
