Reddit Snark Pages about various Instagram, Tiktok, and YouTube influencers/creators began with one goal in mind: to hold influencers accountable from their past negative actions, scamming their followers, and showing the “true” side of their platform. It was respectable and fair to do so.
What snark pages have turned into are pages dedicated to harassment, bullying, and doxxing these same creators. 
Currently snark pages bully creator’s bodies, harass friends and family from the influencer’s life, and share their private information.
Although these snark pages claim to have rules against these negative actions, they rarely hold their members accountable. These snark pages create a mob mentality, allowing consistent defamation and libel claims against creators and spreading misinformation daily. 
Reddit needs to take accountability for these snark pages and understand that they may start with noble causes, but they end with bullying and harassment. 
It should not be on the influencer/creator’s shoulders to defend themselves against the misinformation that is spread. There should be tighter guidelines for snark pages and stricter rules.
