Who is Affected?
Rape cases in Bangladesh have increased at an alarming rate, leaving countless women, children, and even men living in fear. Victims not only suffer physical and psychological trauma but are often denied justice due to delays in trials, weak laws, and social stigma. Families are destroyed, and public safety is at risk as perpetrators walk free or face minimal consequences.

What is at Stake?
If immediate action is not taken, Bangladesh will continue to see a rise in sexual violence. Weak punishments encourage criminals, and survivors live in fear of speaking out. Without strict enforcement of the death penalty and faster trials, rapists will continue to escape justice, making society unsafe for everyone.

Why Must We Act Now?
This is a national crisis, and the time for action is NOW. We demand that:

The death penalty be strictly enforced for rapists.
Fast-track courts be established to ensure justice within 3-6 months.
Survivors receive full protection and rehabilitation support.
A nationwide awareness campaign educates society on rape prevention and victim rights.
We call upon the Government of Bangladesh, the United Nations, human rights organizations, and the international community to intervene and ensure these demands are met. Every day of inaction puts more lives at risk.

কে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত?
বাংলাদেশে ধর্ষণের ঘটনা দ্রুত বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে, যা অসংখ্য নারী, শিশু এবং এমনকি পুরুষদের আতঙ্কের মধ্যে ফেলে দিচ্ছে। ভুক্তভোগীরা শুধুমাত্র শারীরিক ও মানসিকভাবে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হন না, অনেক ক্ষেত্রেই ন্যায়বিচার পান না। মামলা নিষ্পত্তিতে বিলম্ব, দুর্বল আইন, এবং সামাজিক কলঙ্কের কারণে অপরাধীরা মুক্ত থাকে, ফলে সমাজের নিরাপত্তা হুমকির মুখে পড়ে।

কি ঝুঁকির মধ্যে রয়েছে?
যদি এখনই কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ না নেওয়া হয়, তবে ধর্ষণের হার আরও বাড়বে। দুর্বল শাস্তির ফলে অপরাধীরা আরও সাহসী হয়ে উঠবে, আর ভুক্তভোগীরা ভয়ের মধ্যে থাকতে বাধ্য হবে। মৃত্যুদণ্ড কঠোরভাবে প্রয়োগ করা ও দ্রুত বিচার নিশ্চিত করা ছাড়া আর কোনো সমাধান নেই।

এখনই কেন পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া দরকার?
এটি একটি জাতীয় সংকট, এবং এখনই ব্যবস্থা নিতে হবে। আমরা দাবি করছি:

ধর্ষকদের জন্য মৃত্যুদণ্ড কঠোরভাবে প্রয়োগ করতে হবে।
দ্রুত বিচার ট্রাইব্যুনাল গঠন করতে হবে যাতে ৩-৬ মাসের মধ্যে বিচার সম্পন্ন হয়।
ভুক্তভোগীদের সুরক্ষা এবং পুনর্বাসন নিশ্চিত করতে হবে।
ধর্ষণ প্রতিরোধ ও ভুক্তভোগীদের অধিকার সম্পর্কে দেশব্যাপী প্রচার অভিযান চালাতে হবে।
আমরা বাংলাদেশ সরকার, জাতিসংঘ, মানবাধিকার সংস্থাগুলি, এবং আন্তর্জাতিক সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি আহ্বান জানাই, যাতে এই দাবিগুলি বাস্তবায়িত হয়।
