The Issue

United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines ban rabbits from flying in the cabin. They say that only cats and dogs are allowed (*and birds on Delta). But why? Rabbits are the third most popular pet in America, after cats and dogs, according to the Humane Society of the United States.

Here are some of the reasons why rabbits should be allowed in the cabin:

  • Rabbits are small
  • Rabbits don't make any noise
  • Rabbits' poop doesn't stink
  • Rabbits are clean and don't smell
  • Bunnies can die in the cargo bay from stress

Rabbits can't be in the cargo, especially not for long-duration flights. They can die from stress and must be supervised throughout the entire trip with love and attention.

There's no logical reason to ban bunnies from being in the cabin.

We don't even want to begin to mention the number of animals who have already died on United Airlines flights (in the cargo).

Please change your policy ASAP and prevent unnecessary stress and death for bunnies.

Support this petition (made by Bini the Bunny) and let's make a change!

-Allowing rabbits to fly in the cabin of airplanes

-Rabbits back in the cabin on United and Delta flights
