Stop placing officers on the roadways with spike strips only to be potentially killed.
The Issue
Every year officers are injured and killed trying to use spike strips to end vehicle pursuits. Until there is a safer “mechanical” way to replay spike strips we need to Stop placeing officers' lives at risk when a 140mph rocket is hurling towards them with no regard for police what so ever.
This Patition is in memory of all the officers who lost their life's trying to spike a vehicle and where permanently injured and/or killed attempting to simply do their job.
Their Has to be a safer way.
This also is in dedication if Cheektowaga, NY Police Officer Troy Blackchief who is in intensive care after a vehicle he was attempting to spike struck him fracturing his skull.
