Stop Public Authorities Discriminating Against Sikhs

Stop Public Authorities Discriminating Against Sikhs
The Issue
Sikhs have suffered incredible levels of targeted discrimination, anti-Sikh hatred and genocide throughout history, and, unfortunately, that still continues today with transnational repression and more local acts of targeted discrimination.
Recently, my wife and I have been subject to anti-Sikh hatred in Calderdale and it has revealed that West Yorkshire Police and Calderdale Council are complicit in allowing Hate Crimes against Sikhs to go unpunished due to the police and local authority also holding anti-Sikh views and being ignorant of the cultural beliefs and rights of Sikhs.
This has included:
- Failure to prevent religiously motivated Anti-Social Behaviour;
- Failure to investigate and prosecute individuals for Anti-Social Behaviour, Hate Incidents, and Hate Crimes;
- Failure to prosecute individuals for making threats to murder, and attempting to murder Sikhs;
- Forcing me as a Sikh to remove my kirpan;
- Arrested at gun point by 15+ armed police after the anti-Sikh neighbours causing the problems colluded to make false accusations that I had a gun;
- Attempting to ban me from wearing my kirpan when attending any council building;
- Attempting to ban me from seeing my children while wearing my kirpan (my children were unlawfully taken into care when Calderdale Council targeted me after I exposed them for years regarding their corrupt practices);
- Having my Sikh children's haircut despite me making it clear that they are Sikh and should not have their hair cut.
There are many more individual incidents of anti-Sikh discrimination, but I cannot disclose these at present due to ongoing legal action.
It is clear that Calderdale Council and West Yorkshire Police have significant hostility and contempt towards Sikhs in the area, and this is mirrored across the UK but is often unreported because the police and local authorities do nothing to stop this anti-Sikh behaviour.
It is time to hold these public authorities to account and force them to make the changes which they are good at talking about, but terrible at actually doing something about.
Please sign this petition and help make society a better place for the good of all, not just those who assume authority.
