Stop PSEG from Seizing Maryland Family Farms for Out-of-State Power Line!

Stop PSEG from Seizing Maryland Family Farms for Out-of-State Power Line!
The Issue
MT. AIRY, MD — Maryland’s farmland is under attack.
A proposed 67-mile, 500-kilovolt power line would cut straight through Carroll, Frederick, and Baltimore Counties, destroying generations of family farms to feed electricity to data centers in another state.
Seventh-generation farmer Lisa Gaver stands to lose the Christmas-tree fields that thousands of Maryland families visit each year.
“It’s going to financially devastate us,” she says. “There’s $4 million worth of inventory in this field.”
This project by PSEG, a New Jersey utility company, could seize land through eminent domain—taking Maryland soil for out-of-state corporate profit. Local officials and residents across three counties already oppose it.
We Demand:
1.) No eminent domain for corporate gain.
2.) Protection for Maryland’s farms and open spaces.
3.) Real community input before any approval.
Our farmland isn’t an “extension cord” for Big Tech!
Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever!
✍️ Sign now to tell Governor Wes Moore and the Maryland Public Service Commission:
Stop the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. Protect our farms, our heritage, and our future
