Prostitution is violence against women. Children deserve a safe route to school. No kid should have to walk through crime including sex trafficking.

STOP prostitution within 1.5 miles of a school, daycare, and parks.

Make it a crime to loiter with the intent to engage in prostitution within 1.5 miles of children places including but not limited too: schools, daycares, and parks.

Nestled between three schools (all less than two miles away), scantily clad-sometimes completely naked-women and young girls are walking up and down Long Beach Boulevard. The motels and vacant storefronts along the boulevard are riddled with drought and attract all types of crime. Successfully soliciting men into sexual acts in front of daycare centers and along the walking routes of children on their way to and from school, these women (and their pimps) are creating an unsafe environment for our children.

As a community, it is on our shoulders to provide these children with the tools to succeed. Regardless of race, income or location, all children deserve a nurturing environment and a sense of safety. These conditions have proven unsafe already for our Coolidge Triangle neighborhood, with a young girl having been recently attacked in an attempted kidnapping. Our plea is simple: help us keep our community safe.
