Stop Proposed Wind Farm in Dunoon, Argyll & Bute

Stop Proposed Wind Farm in Dunoon, Argyll & Bute
The Issue
Here on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula, there is a looming threat that tax payers money will be used to subsidise the construction of a wind farm. This wind farm will have a detrimental impact on our serene landscape here in Dunoon and will be visible from around the area.
Wind farms are known to have significant visual impacts on landscapes and can lead to noise pollution (source: UK National Health Service). While renewable energy may be crucial for our environment, it's important that its implementation does not disrupt local communities or degrade their quality of life.
Argyll and Bute is renowned for its natural beauty - an asset we should strive to protect. The proposed wind farm could potentially harm tourism in the area, which contributes significantly to our local economy (source: VisitScotland).
We urge the Government to reconsider granting planning permission for this proposed wind farm. We believe there are alternative ways to achieve renewable energy goals without compromising the tranquillity and beauty of our region.
Please sign this petition if you stand with us in preserving the charm and serenity of Argyll and Bute.
