For those within the Titanic Community itself, Paul Henri Nargeolet was a friend to many. His contributions to deep sea research plus his career as a retired Commander in the French Navy earned the respect of Titanic descendants who generally oppose recovery of artifacts or dives to the ship. When the Titan imploded this past summer, we watched with heavy hearts as a dear friend's loss was the brunt of jokes and memes online plus late night talk shows. 

E Brian Dobbins is slated to produce the film Salvaged. Co-writer Jonathan Keasey has spoken on record that the movie will aim to "indict the media cycle that convicts and ruins lives without due process" (2023, 09/29 OceanGate Titan sub disaster movie in the offing https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/sep/29/titan-sub-movie-oceangate-e-brian-dobbins ) The investigation is still ongoing and the end results have not fully come out to the public yet. If this film goes to production, there's a high risk of hearing only half the story its intended to deliver. 

For the families who still mourn, and the researchers who miss their colleague, this wound is too fresh to tear even further. Sign and let the memory of those lost remain part of the legendary liner the world has loved for the past 111 years.
