We urge Elvis Presley Enterprises, the state of Tennessee, and all decision-makers to respect Elvis Presley’s legacy by denying Priscilla Presley burial at Graceland. This sacred site should be reserved for those who loved and protected Elvis, not those who used, exploited, or disrespected him in life and death.

Graceland is more than just a property. It’s a symbol of Elvis Presley’s legacy — a sanctuary where fans from all over the world come to pay respects to  Elvis. Only those closest to his heart and legacy — his mother, his father, his daughter — are rightfully buried there.

Priscilla Presley should not be granted that honor.

While she was once Elvis’s wife, the reality is that she was his ex-wife by the time he passed away. They had been divorced for years. She spent over two decades in a relationship with another man, had another child, and built a life that had nothing to do with Elvis. She was not by his side during his darkest days, and she has not honored him in the years since with the respect he deserved.

Instead, Priscilla has repeatedly distorted the truth about their relationship, contradicting herself in interviews, books, and public appearances. She has portrayed herself as a victim while simultaneously benefiting financially and socially from her association with Elvis. In her memoir and later adaptations like Elvis and Me, Priscilla not only romanticized a deeply controversial relationship but also rewrote history to serve her image. She admitted to cheating on Elvis during their marriage, yet consistently portrayed herself as the misunderstood victim while subtly undermining Elvis’s character. Her shifting narratives have disturbed both fans and critics, revealing a pattern of self-serving storytelling that distorts the truth and disrespects Elvis’s legacy.

Her own daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, spoke openly about the deep emotional trauma she experienced growing up under Priscilla’s care. In Elvis by the Presleys and other sources, Lisa Marie described her mother as emotionally absent and abusive. According to Lisa, Priscilla knowingly dated Mike Edwards, a man who her daughter accused of sexual molestation— and remained with him for years. These are not accusations from tabloids; they are detailed in Lisa Marie’s own words, which were tragically dismissed and buried in the media.

Priscilla's role in the years following Elvis’s death has only continued to disturb fans. From her control over Elvis Presley Enterprises to her legal battles against Lisa Marie’s trust and the family estate, her actions seem more aligned with personal gain than honoring Elvis.

Most recently, reports have surfaced that Priscilla Presley negotiated to secure a burial spot for herself at Graceland, a move that has sparked outrage among fans. Graceland is a sacred place meant to honor Elvis and his closest loved ones — not a monument to those who have profited from his name while tarnishing his legacy. After everything he endured in life, he deserves peace — not to be eternally linked to someone who repeatedly exploited his story for personal gain.

Millions of fans are deeply uncomfortable with the idea of Priscilla being laid to rest next to Elvis. She was not a protector of his legacy — she was a manipulator of it. We must protect Graceland from becoming a shrine to someone who repeatedly disrespected the man it was meant to honor.

This isn’t about drama or personal opinions — it’s about protecting Elvis and his legacy, especially when it feels like no one else is stepping up to do it. Graceland should remain a place of peace for him, not a resting place for someone who repeatedly used and misrepresented him.

We respectfully urge decision-makers to:

Deny Priscilla Presley burial at Graceland
Respect the original intention of the Meditation Garden as a space for those who were truly close to Elvis
Protect Graceland as a historic site that honors Elvis Presley — not those who betrayed or exploited him
Let Elvis rest in peace.
Let his legacy remain sacred.
