Economists need to take a stance against predatory sexual behavior in the profession. The American Economics Association should hold an open forum to discuss these issues at the ASSA AEA 2023 meeting. The forum should be organized and lead by AEA leadership, open to all, and focus on generating constructive ideas for how the AEA can address this behavior in the profession moving forward. Let's get this discussion out from behind the closed doors and dark hallways and into a shared, safe, open space.
