The Issue

Porch piracy has become a persistent and deeply frustrating issue for residents of Brewerytown. Every week, packages are stolen from doorsteps, leaving families without essentials, small businesses at risk, and neighbors feeling unsafe in their own community. Residents  are losing packages that contain essential medications, sensitive personal documents, and irreplaceable belongings. The impact goes far beyond inconvenience—it’s a threat to our health, privacy, and safety. I’ve witnessed neighbors chasing down thieves in desperation, but what happens when someone gets seriously hurt—or worse? No one should have to risk their life to protect a delivery.

The rise in porch piracy not only causes inconvenience but also erodes trust within our neighborhoods. Many of us rely on deliveries of medications, groceries, and other essentials which, when stolen, directly impact our day-to-day well-being. For small business owners here in Brewerytown, each stolen package can mean loss of income, disrupted service, and dissatisfied customers.

The current measures are clearly insufficient, as the thefts continue with alarming frequency. We, the residents and supporters of Brewerytown, are calling on local officials, law enforcement, and community organizations to implement long-term, sustainable solutions to combat porch piracy.

Join us in demanding action and accountability. Please sign this petition to help us bring about meaningful change. Together, we can make a difference.
