Last week I received the Professional Standards Department outcome from Surrey Police. Six of seven issues were deemed “service acceptable,” almost a year after I raised them—and months after Mum passed away.
Please take two minutes to hear Mum’s story in her own words:
One finding says it was acceptable not to provide a police escort so Mum could safely collect essential items from her family home—because they believed she already had essentials. I’m shocked that clothing isn’t considered essential.
Meanwhile, Mum’s potential homicide remains uninvestigated. She isn’t even a number in the system.
What I’m asking for:
Transparency: clear reasons when cases are closed/downgraded and when safeguards (like escorts) are refused.
Basic safeguarding: treat clothing, ID, medication, and personal effects as essential; offer escorts where risk is identified.
Accountability: ensure serious cases are fully recorded and investigated—so victims aren’t erased by process.
Please share this update and, if you can, donate to promote the petition so more people see it.
Thank you—your support means the world to me.
