We just crossed 200,000 signatures on the petition to end easy plea deals for child predators.

That number represents survivors, families and people who are tired of watching a system protect offenders instead of children.

Reading your stories, your messages, and your reasons for signing is what pushed me to build something new, something that I didn't realize was needed. 

Yesterday, I launched a weekly podcast called Unheard: True Crime In Their Own Words. This a space where those closest to these crimes, survivors, families, and sometimes even those who caused the harm, to tell their stories in their own words, without being reduced to headlines or soundbites.

When talking about advocacy, for children, I don't think I could have had a better guest for the first episode than Elizabeth Smart.

If you’ve signed this petition, you already believe in the mission. We are still working to get this in front of the law makers who have the power to impact change and every signature brings us closer to that.
