Hi! My name is Lauren Smith.  

Im not a resident in Merryville but I have tons of friends and family in that area and I was raised right at the junction. 

I’m a huge advocate for the ones who don’t have a voice like in this case Pit Bulls.  I think what they are doing is absolutely ridiculous. I’m sure they have their “reasons” but if we are going to ban Pit bulls for being Pit Bulls we should band Chihuahuas,Pomeranians,Yorkies and Dachshunds as well because they are also known to be aggressive.  I have a Pit Bull mix that I saved from a shelter, all these dogs who have homes should be able to stay there, it’s disgusting of this town of Merryville to put this ban out.  All these Dogs are going to be in a shelter and since they have such a bad rep they are going to be euthanized because people are afraid of them when in reality they are one of the most loyal, loving and protective dog breeds there is.

*Yes I know that Pit Bulls can sometimes be aggressive but it is the owners fault for training them to be that way. ALL DOGS CAN BITE, BUT IT DOESN’T MEAN THEY WILL.*
