I am ZoeyJane Cathcart, I bought a Betta Fish from a Petsmart. The Betta fish in Petsmart are very neglected, they are not fed and they are kept in too tiny of a cup. They are also not kept at the right temperature causing them to die before being bought. They need to be at a temperature of 75-85 degrees Fahrenheit because they are exotic fish. They need bigger tanks to swim around more freely Because in nature they have a bigger area and need to be able to swim other than in circles. Betta fish also need to be fed twice a day which is NOT happening. I went there Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 and there was about 2 dead Betta and 4 dying/sick Betta. I am starting a petition against Petsmart to make it so they can not carry Betta fish or any live animals. 

These are animals, they are living. It’s saddening to see and something has to be done about it. They neglect the animals and fish so it costs the company in whole less money. It shouldn’t matter about money, they are a pet store. The pets and animals should matter more

 If it gets enough signatures I will be getting ahold of the state senate or congress to try to get a law put in so Petsmart around the US can not sell live animals. The neglect has to stop, it will stop. I know many people who have tried to make them do better and get it to stop but I will not fail.
