I have started this petition because I and many others believe that the welfare for our pets is vital. Many storys of stolen dogs being used for baiting in dog fighting and now a new story or a poor innocent boy looking for a new home resulted badly Jenson a male staff was advertised 13 hours ago on Gumtree website as free, today (14.04.15) he had been found dead due to being taken for free and used as bait this has to stop we cannot ask for just the free pets category to be abolished as people will still try to advertised under different subject lines so I think gumtree should have a complete ban on advertising pets alltogether I am part of many facebook pet groups all run by fabulous people and we are forever sharing gumtree adverts to rescues etc to try and find decent and safe places but sadly not all can be helped. I would like people to support this petition because I think that if this is one less way for free animals to be advertised then thats one website less people will not be able to use and put their animal through the trauma jenson has gone through in less than 24 hours. This will make a difference and hopefully make people think twice on offering pets for free. Thank You
